Lisa’s story – Thank you!
In 2011, Lisa and a couple of her friends approached Regenerate, offering to help out. That conversation, held in our small youth drop-in centre on the Alton estate, marked the start of some incredible opportunities and lasting change for Regenerate.
Lisa began by helping to connect worlds. While we were ploughing away with our projects in Putney and Roehampton, Lisa and her friends brought in their own friends and networks from Barnes, Putney, and Wimbledon. They helped initiate community meals and presentations at people’s houses, as well as some bigger fundraising events too. These connections brought in resources and funding that have helped us grow — impacting thousands more young people’s lives over the past 14 years.
Lisa then became a trustee at Regenerate, and after a couple of years, she stepped up as Chair—serving two full terms (9 years)! She was a key support in helping us set up The Feel Good Bakery in 2014, and has also served on The Feel Good Board of Directors ever since.
Now, as Lisa steps down from the position, we are reflecting on our journey together, the invaluable guidance she offered, and the bubbly and passionate voice she brung not just to trustee meetings, but all the other things she so enthusiastically took the time to get involved in: staff team days, community events, trips abroad, and more.
Lisa has been instrumental in our growth and development. She has become a great friend through the process and has even given her time and support to our partner projects in Romania and Kenya.
Regenerate is a community akin to a family, and we’re so grateful for the part that Lisa has played in that. While we are sad to say goodbye to her in this capacity, we’re grateful that she will continue to be involved with our work in other ways going forward.
Thank you Lisa, from the whole Regenerate Team!!
