We work with young people aged 10-18 in local schools and the community matching individuals with a skilled mentor who will listen and work with them to help them grow in confidence, improve key skills and develop their self-management.
These one to one sessions take place weekly over 3-6 months, and could address things such as anxiety, wellbeing, building healthy relationships with friends/family, and behavioural issues.
Young people are enrolled in this programme on a referral basis – if you would like to know more, contact clare@regenerate-london.org.
Our post 16 mentoring service compliments our one-year employment programme. It focuses on overcoming personal challenges, as well as working on more practical employability skills alongside a focused plan which is created in line with each young person’s goals.
Through 1-1 sessions, as well as group development days, young people will build confidence, social skills, and gain independence and empowerment.
If you would like to refer a young person for this service, contact bella@regenerate-london.org
As part of this service, young people may be offered the chance to develop further through a trip to visit one of our partner projects in Kenya or Romania and learn from community leaders there, or take part in a fundraising adventure.
These powerful trips are key moments of life experience, which build resilience and propel them to a renewed growth mindset which sees the world and their sense of what they can achieve in a whole new way.
We also provide access to a fully qualified counsellor and psychotherapist Amina, for those struggling with deeper mental health issues. Amina has worked with us and within the local community for over 5 years, and has experience supporting a diverse range of people and issues, including anxiety or depression, chronic stress, and low moods or self esteem.
